Pot dispensaries to open soon in Mashpee, Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — In a brightly lit room that looked like a cross between a chef’s kitchen and a science lab, Triple M’s director of processing was busy minding machines as they produced the offerings soon to be featured in two new medical marijuana dispensaries.
Triple M, formerly known as Medical Marijuana of Massachusetts, leases a 46,000-square-foot building in Plymouth’s industrial park where marijuana is being grown and processed and will soon be sold.
This dispensary, located on Collins Avenue, is set to open Thursday, becoming the 20th in the state. Hours of operation initially will be limited to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, by appointment only.
In Mashpee, a dispensary — the first on the Cape and Islands and the 21st in the state — will open on Echo Road by month’s end, initially for those same hours, and it will sell products brought from Plymouth daily.
Registered cardholders may choose from five strains of medical marijuana at the two dispensaries, to smoke, vape, ingest via capsules or tinctures or slather on as lotion. On the list are Blue Dream, Gorilla Glue, Tardis Nine, Cannatonic, White Rhino and Green Daddy Purple.
“We’ve stayed away from edibles,” said Jonathan Herlihy, co-founder and CEO of Triple M. Dosing for edibles can be tricky.
“We have capsules and tinctures that are very exact dosing,” he said.
